If you come from a Java background, it's very easy to tell how much "innovation" was involved in the design (and even implementation) of C#. To spell it out for you, it's almost a copy of it (especially the first release) and there can be no doubt that C# (and even the very idea of .NET) wouldn't even be fraction of as good as it is if there was no Java. Besides, the comic was talking of "protocols" and we all know good MS is at that. Scott! Its because they have put a lot of quality work in C# and ASP.NET. It is just such a great product and Hugo can't tell me that out of all the webforms he has built. It is pretty easy and dang nice with asp.net and C# weather it be MVC or not. Also, just because they decide to copy someones innovative idea, doesn't mean they are a bad company. Take for example, Google. Great Company, but they def copied other search companies. They might have made a different algorithm, but they def copied. No hate, and I have nothing but love for my fellow devs. btw, its still a good comic you got here. Just thought I would speak up about putting politics into something funny. All this is a simple disguise of our love so we're not taken for n00bs. I bet even Boris is a secret admirer of the sheer beauty ASP.NET code has. Not to mention he's following the same processes as Microsoft: reinventing everything because... he simply can. @Scott: We all here actually love Microsoft. I would try to resist as hard as I can, if somebody tried to make me use closed protocols. @Hugo, luckily I’ve always been lucky and not needing to use closed apps or protocols at work.
