So, that's why he wanted Randal to change the colorscheme!
You know, Ross used gedit a while back - which highlights AUTOMATICLY - so why he is still highlighting his code by hand in Word?

Dang - the software ate up my "langle code rangle" and actually inserted a code-block. Can you fix that?

Actually, the compiler reading Word documents is not that far fetched. The D compiler, for instance, can read xhtml pages and extract <code> blocks.

The pointer explanation was hard to top, but that's not an excuse for Ross!
A+ Salvatore :)

Now I see... Actually I read `...and we are finished for
today' as a kind way to say: `Stop _helping_ me Ross. I read
a C manual, ya know? I understood are saying only crazy
nonsenses. I am annoyed by you and your blatant lies.'

@etb, no, this wasn't the first lesson. I hoped that the tone she used for "and then we're finished for today" would hint familiarity. It's just the first lesson to appear in the comic :-)

@larethian, interesting question :-) I guess it just doesn't compile, and Ross will blame the broken compiler!

@Marc, thanks! I guess I must be such a crappy coder myself that I find these situation natural :-D

in the first place how did he get a word document to compile?? or is there a feature in VS that I'm not aware of? (could be since I don't use it).
